Dog Adoption is a Better Option
Dogs are the perfect companion for senior citizens. Many seniors are leading active lifestyles and would adopt a dog. Rescue groups/shelters should reach out to our senior communities. Organizations, senior citizens and homeless dogs can all benefit from this approach. Volunteer to help make a difference in the lives of dogs and senior citizens.

- Advertise Rescue Groups/Shelters in Senior Community Newsletters
- Conduct meetings about dog adoption at Senior Communities
- Find volunteers in Senior Communities to help Rescue Groups/Shelters
- Assist seniors with adoption procedures
- Help seniors with transportation to shelters, vet, etc.
- Find charities that help defray adoption & vet fees for seniors
