Carol Erickson, CBS 3/CW Philly meteorologist, animal activist and now accomplished author, recently published her first children’s book Not A Used Dog, At All.
Not A Used Dog, At All encourages adoption of shelter dogs and explains the reasons for it in ways a young reader can understand. Complete with an expanded discussion section for parents and educators, the children’s book is designed for the 4 to 8 year-old group. The book shares the story through the eyes of a young boy named Matt. He only wants a fluffy pet store puppy, not a ‘used’ dog from the shelter. When he reluctantly meets a shelter dog, he learns some truths about adopted dogs, store-bought puppies, and the difference a kid can make in the world.
All profits from book sales will be sent to animal rescue and shelter groups.
