Wrigley - Fetching Companions Retriever Rescue - Southern CA
The Labradors adopted from Rescue are normally spayed/neutered, current on vaccines, heartworm checked (some groups treat for this disease before offering the dog for adoption), temperament checked and some have a tattoo or microchip. They primarily range from 8 months to 6 years of age, well past the chewing and nipping puppy stage. Some are fence jumpers, diggers or barkers, but with a little training the typical Rescue lab becomes a well-mannered loving pet for most families. Most love being in the house, enjoy playing with the kids and get along fine with the cats, ferret, or any other animal that might reside in the same household. The ones who aren’t quite as even tempered are worked with, given some obedience training and placed in a home suitable to their needs.
